Donations
CBSI material is not for sale, but there are costs in running a class. Members are asked to pay a registration fee of £10.00 per year, which guarantees a place in the class and the lesson materials. There are, however, additional costs that do occur in running a CBSI group.
What are some of these costs? Our biggest cost will be providing our Crèche and paying our Child Care workers. Although we may not have to pay rent, we do want to honour our hosts’ generosity in letting us meet here by giving the church an occasional gift. We also have printing, postage and other incidental expenses, and some money goes to CBSI-UK for the training of new leaders and for help in starting new classes. None of our CBSI volunteers, either at the local level, or on the National level, receives any payment for their time and work.
Each class is financially supported by the contributions of class members. There is no set charge for the course and giving in CBSI is voluntary so that class members who cannot contribute may still attend. As a guideline only, we suggest a weekly amount of £1or £2, this translates into £20 per term, or £60 for the year. By all means give more than that if you wish! But if you cannot manage that amount or no donation at all right now, please be assured that you are still welcome to be a part of our CBSI class. This contribution is a suggestion only and not mandatory at all.
Since CBSI is a registered charity, we also offer the option of Gift Aid for your donations. (not the registration fee). Filling out the Gift Aid Form allows CBSI-UK to reclaim another 28% from the Inland Revenue.
If you are not a tax-payer, but your spouse is, and if your giving to CBSI comes out of your giving as a couple, with both of you in agreement with this, then you can still fill out a Gift Aid form, but your spouse needs to be the one to sign the form and any cheques.
Please make any cheques payable to your relevant class:
