About CBSI

Community Bible Study started as a result of an answer to prayer by a group in Washington DC led by Lee Campbell. Over 500 people registered for the first class in 1975 to study the Gospel of John.

1979 saw the first UK class start in London, the result of answer to the prayers of Thera Smith of Campus Crusade. There are now over 80 classes in England, Scotland and Wales and over 10 in Ireland.

A little later the second International class was started in Peru followed by Canada.

Since then the ministry has grown and is now active in over 58 countries with 23,000 members in 1416 Bible Studies. The studies have now been translated into 38 languages.
