The success of CBSI lies in its five way process that enables people within a supportive group environment, to understand God’s Word for themselves. 1. Home study Each week there are home study questions, which the participants and leaders complete at home. Most answers can be found in the passage being studied. This helps people get used to using the Bible when answering questions. 2. Group discussion The group meets to discuss the answers they have to the questions. A leader facilitates, moving the discussion along. Large groups should split into smaller groups for discussion. 3. The talk After discussion a leader gives a talk on the passage studied, using personal testimony and personal application….

CBSI UK in Virginia Water, Thorpe, Ascot and Reading hold classes weekly during term time.  All are welcome to join these groups and participate in the study.

Paul’s heart was over-flowing with the message he had for them: the glories of the believer’s new life in Christ, the magnificence of God’s plan and the marvel of God’s grace. The Dead Sea Scrolls Online

The Dead Sea Scrolls

In a joint project by the Israel Museum and Google, five of the most complete Dead Sea Scrolls went online at the end of September. By 5th October, there had been over a million viewers from 213 countries, speaking 236 languages including all the neighbouring Arab countries except for Syria. The site is- http://dss.collections.imj.org.il   The high resolution photographs are considered to show more detail than can be seen by the naked eye. Chief among the scrolls is the great Isaiah scroll, which is shown in the original and is translated into English line by line, and can be searched by specific phrases and verses in that language.
